Noble Corporation

Bombay, 1935. Wooden rafters and Mangalore tiles were making way for tin roofs, which required waterproofing. Sensing a demand, Tayebali Jodiawala set up a small shop to supply tin sheets and coal tar. The business grew quickly and Noble became the first Distributor in Mumbai for STP Tar Products, an alliance that continues till date.

Tayebali’s legacy was further strengthened by his two sons, Shabbir and Gulamhusein. They expanded the business to include new distributorships for construction materials that were the need of the hour. They also diversified into applications and contracting and set up the insulation materials division. Noble soon emerged as the trusted partner for companies who wanted to be at the forefront of the construction industry. The business is being successfully run by the third generation, today.
