Principle
The BioExtract™ Kit employs a multi-step process for efficient and reliable results:
Lysis: Samples are homogenized and lysed using a potent lysis buffer containing chaotropic salts and detergents. This simultaneously denatures proteins and inactivates nucleases, preserving nucleic acid integrity.
Binding: Nucleic acids (both RNA and DNA) are selectively bound to a silica-based membrane (spin-column format) or magnetic beads (magnetic bead format) under optimized conditions, while contaminants are washed away.
Washing: Multiple wash steps effectively remove residual inhibitors, salts, and proteins, ensuring high purity.
Elution: Pure, high-quality RNA and DNA are eluted in a low-salt elution buffer or nuclease-free water, ready for immediate use.
Detection: The purified nucleic acid is directly added to a pre-formulated master mix containing a highly sensitive reverse transcriptase (for RNA), a hot-start DNA polymerase, dNTPs, optimized reaction buffers, and user-defined primers/probes for real-time PCR detection.
