Description
DENGUE DUO NS1 Ag, IgG & IgM Antibody Rapid Test
The Ultimate Dengue Diagnostic Solution for Comprehensive & Rapid Detection
Product Overview: The DENGUE DUO Rapid Test is an advanced, immunochromatographic assay designed for the simultaneous and qualitative detection of Dengue NS1 antigen, and anti-Dengue IgG and IgM antibodies in human serum, plasma, or whole blood samples. This innovative "duo" approach provides a complete picture of Dengue infection status, enabling healthcare professionals to distinguish between early, primary, and secondary infections with unparalleled speed and accuracy.
Why Choose DENGUE DUO?
Dengue fever, a prevalent mosquito-borne viral disease, requires prompt and accurate diagnosis for effective patient management and public health intervention. The DENGUE DUO test offers a critical advantage by combining multiple markers in a single, easy-to-use device.
Key Features & Benefits:
- Comprehensive Detection:
- NS1 Antigen: Detects Dengue Non-Structural Protein 1 (NS1) antigen, crucial for early diagnosis (typically detectable from day 1 of fever up to day 5-7), even before antibodies are produced.
- IgM Antibodies: Identifies primary Dengue infections, usually appearing 4-7 days after symptom onset.
- IgG Antibodies: Indicates secondary (re-infection) Dengue infections or past exposure, appearing later in primary infections and rapidly rising during secondary infections.
- Rapid Results: Delivers clear, easy-to-interpret results within 15-20 minutes, facilitating quick clinical decisions at the point of care.
- High Sensitivity & Specificity: Engineered for reliable performance, ensuring accurate detection of Dengue markers across different stages of infection.
- Simple Procedure: User-friendly design requires minimal training and no specialized equipment, making it ideal for various healthcare settings, from clinics to field use.
- Versatile Sample Types: Compatible with whole blood, serum, or plasma samples, offering flexibility in sample collection.
- Visual Interpretation: Clear, distinct lines for each marker (NS1, IgM, IgG, and Control) ensure unambiguous interpretation of results.
- Cost-Effective: Reduces the need for multiple tests and specialized laboratory equipment, offering an economical solution for Dengue diagnosis.
Intended Use:
The DENGUE DUO Rapid Test is intended for use by trained healthcare professionals as an aid in the diagnosis of Dengue virus infection (primary, secondary, and early stages) in conjunction with clinical symptoms and other laboratory findings. It is suitable for:
- Point-of-care testing in clinics and hospitals.
- Field testing during outbreaks.
- Screening suspected Dengue cases.
- Monitoring Dengue prevalence in endemic areas.
Principle of the Test:
The DENGUE DUO Rapid Test employs a qualitative, membrane-based immunoassay.
- For NS1 Ag detection, specific anti-NS1 antibodies are pre-coated on the test line region. When the sample is applied, NS1 antigen (if present) reacts with anti-NS1 antibody conjugates, forming a complex that migrates chromatographically and is captured by the pre-coated antibodies, forming a colored NS1 test line.
- For IgG and IgM detection, anti-human IgM and anti-human IgG are pre-coated on their respective test lines. If anti-Dengue IgM or IgG antibodies are present in the sample, they react with Dengue antigen-coated particles, forming a complex that is captured by the pre-coated anti-human antibodies, forming colored IgM and IgG test lines. A colored control line (C) always appears to indicate proper test performance.
Test Procedure (Simplified):
- Allow the test cassette, sample, and buffer to equilibrate to room temperature.
- Add the specified volume of sample (e.g., serum, plasma, or whole blood) to the sample well.
- Add the required number of drops of assay buffer to the buffer well.
- Wait for 15-20 minutes for the colored lines to appear.
- Interpret results visually. Do not interpret results after 20 minutes.
Reading Your Results:
- Control Line (C): Must always appear for the test to be valid.
- NS1 Line:
- Positive: Presence of a colored NS1 line along with the C line indicates a likely early Dengue infection.
- Negative: Absence of an NS1 line.
- IgM Line:
- Positive: Presence of a colored IgM line along with the C line indicates a primary or recent Dengue infection.
- Negative: Absence of an IgM line.
- IgG Line:
- Positive: Presence of a colored IgG line along with the C line suggests a secondary or past Dengue infection.
- Negative: Absence of an IgG line.
Interpretation Combinations:
- NS1 Ag (+) only: Very early infection.
- NS1 Ag (+) & IgM (+/-) & IgG (-): Early primary infection.
- IgM (+) & IgG (-): Primary infection.
- IgM (+) & IgG (+): Late primary or early secondary infection.
- IgM (-) & IgG (+): Secondary infection or past infection.
- Negative (C line only, no NS1, IgM, IgG lines): No detectable Dengue infection at the time of testing.
- Invalid: No control line appears.
