AMF Panel: Seamless Power Continuity & Generator Automation
Product Overview
In an increasingly power-dependent world, grid instability and unexpected outages can lead to significant operational disruptions, data loss, and financial setbacks. The AMF (Automatic Mains Failure) Panel is a critical component for any facility requiring uninterrupted power supply. Our advanced AMF Panels are designed to automatically detect mains power failures, initiate your backup generator, transfer the electrical load, and then seamlessly revert to mains power upon restoration, ensuring your essential operations continue without a hitch.
Built with robust components and cutting-edge control technology, our AMF Panels offer reliable, efficient, and safe management of your backup power system, giving you peace of mind and protecting your investments.
Key Features & Benefits
1. Automatic Grid Monitoring & Generator Control
Intelligent Detection: Continuously monitors the incoming mains supply for voltage, frequency, and phase integrity.
Auto Start/Stop: Automatically sends start commands to your generator upon mains failure and shut-down commands upon mains restoration, including a configurable cool-down period.
Battery Charging: Integrates a smart battery charger to keep the generator's start-up battery optimally charged.
2. Seamless & Secure Load Transfer
Integrated ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) Control: Manages the switching between mains and generator power, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal interruption.
Load Shedding Capability: (Optional) Prioritizes critical loads during generator operation to prevent overload.
3. Comprehensive Protection & Safety
Generator Protection: Safeguards your generator against common faults like overspeed, underspeed, low oil pressure, high engine temperature, battery under/over voltage, and overcrank.
Load Protection: Provides protection for your connected loads against under/over voltage, under/over frequency, phase loss, phase reversal, and short-circuit faults.
Emergency Stop: Easily accessible emergency stop button for immediate shutdown.
Robust Enclosure: Housed in a durable, industrial-grade enclosure (e.g., IP54 or higher) for protection against dust, water splashes, and harsh environmental conditions.
4. Intuitive User Interface & Diagnostics
LCD/HMI Display: Clear, user-friendly display for real-time status updates, alarms, and operational parameters (voltage, current, frequency, run hours, etc.).
Push-Button Controls: Easy manual control for testing, generator start/stop, and mode selection.
Event Logging: Stores a detailed history of alarms, faults, and operational events for diagnostics and maintenance planning.
5. Advanced Monitoring & Connectivity (Optional)
Remote Monitoring: Integrate with Building Management Systems (BMS) or SCADA systems via Modbus RTU/TCP-IP, Ethernet, or GSM/GPRS for remote control and monitoring.
Data Logging: Comprehensive data logging for performance analysis and preventative maintenance.
6. Customization & Scalability
Flexible Configurations: Available for single-phase and three-phase systems, with current ratings from 63 Amps to 3200 Amps and beyond.
Tailored Solutions: Designed and manufactured to meet specific site requirements, generator types, and budget constraints.
Modular Design: Allows for easy upgrades and expansion.
7. Compliance & Quality
International Standards: Built and tested to comply with relevant international and national electrical safety and performance standards (e.g., IEC, CE, UL, IS).
High-Quality Components: Utilizes reputable industrial-grade circuit breakers, contactors, relays, and controllers for maximum reliability and longevity.
How it Works (Simplified Flow)
Mains Monitoring: The AMF panel continuously monitors the incoming mains (grid) power supply.
Mains Failure Detected: If the mains power fails (e.g., voltage drop, phase loss), the panel detects the abnormality after a configurable delay.
Generator Start: The panel sends a start command to the backup generator. It typically performs several cranking attempts.
Generator Stabilization: Once the generator starts and its output parameters (voltage, frequency) stabilize, the panel prepares for transfer.
Load Transfer: The panel instructs the Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) to switch the electrical load from the failed mains to the generator supply.
Mains Restoration: When mains power is restored and stable, the panel waits for a configurable stabilization period.
Generator Cool-Down: The load is transferred back to the mains, and the generator enters a cool-down period before shutting down.
Panel Reset: The AMF panel resets and continues to monitor the mains supply, ready for the next event.
