AMF Panel

      Description

AMF Panel: Seamless Power Transition & Generator Automation

In today's interconnected world, power continuity is not just a convenience, it's a necessity. Introducing the AMF (Automatic Mains Failure) Panel – your intelligent solution for uninterrupted power supply, designed to automatically detect mains power outages, seamlessly switch to generator power, and revert to grid supply once restored.

      What is an AMF Panel?

An Automatic Mains Failure (AMF) Panel is a crucial component in any backup power system. It acts as the brain that monitors the incoming mains electricity supply. In the event of a power failure, the AMF panel automatically starts the connected generator, transfers the electrical load from the grid to the generator, and safely shuts down the generator when the mains power is restored. This fully automated process ensures that critical operations remain uninterrupted, safeguarding your business, infrastructure, and sensitive equipment.

      Key Features & Components

Our AMF Panels are engineered for reliability, efficiency, and ease of use, incorporating high-quality components and advanced control logic:

      • Intelligent Microprocessor-Based Controller: The heart of the AMF panel, providing real-time monitoring, precise control, and fault diagnostics.
      • Automatic Mains Failure Detection: Continuously monitors incoming utility power for outages, under-voltage, over-voltage, and phase loss.
      • Automatic Generator Start/Stop: Initiates the generator start sequence upon mains failure and commands a safe shutdown once mains power is stable.
      • Automatic Load Transfer Switches (Contactors/MCCBs): Heavy-duty, electrically interlocked switches that ensure a safe and instantaneous transfer of load between mains and generator supply, preventing back-feeding.
      • Adjustable Time Delays: Configurable timers for:
        • Mains failure detection delay (to ignore momentary fluctuations).
        • Generator start delay.
        • Load transfer delay (generator stabilization time).
        • Generator cool-down period.
        • Mains return stabilization delay.
      • Comprehensive Generator Protection: Monitors critical generator parameters such as:
        • Engine Oil Pressure (Low)
        • Engine Coolant Temperature (High)
        • Engine Speed (Over/Under)
        • Battery Voltage (Low/High)
        • Generator Output Voltage (Over/Under)
        • Generator Output Frequency (Over/Under)
        • Overcurrent/Short Circuit Protection
      • Visual Status Indicators: Intuitive LED/LCD displays provide clear indication of:
        • Mains presence/absence
        • Generator running/stopped
        • Load on mains/generator
        • System alarms and faults
      • Manual Override & Test Functionality: Allows for manual control of the generator and transfer switches for testing and maintenance purposes.
      • Robust Enclosure: IP-rated, weather-resistant, and durable steel enclosure designed for indoor or outdoor installation, providing protection against dust and moisture.
      • Emergency Stop Button: For immediate and safe shutdown of the generator in critical situations.
      • Event Logging: Stores a history of power events and faults for analysis and troubleshooting.
      • Optional Features: Remote monitoring capabilities (Modbus, GSM/GPRS), synchronization modules for parallel operation, battery chargers, surge protection.

      How It Works

      1. Mains Monitoring: The AMF panel constantly monitors the incoming utility power supply.
      2. Failure Detection: If the mains power fails, or experiences critical voltage/frequency deviations, the AMF controller detects this after a pre-set delay.
      3. Generator Start: The controller sends a signal to start the standby generator.
      4. Generator Warm-up & Stabilization: The generator starts and is allowed to run for a brief period to stabilize its voltage and frequency.
      5. Load Transfer: Once the generator output is stable and within parameters, the AMF panel opens the mains breaker/contactor and closes the generator breaker/contactor, seamlessly transferring the building's electrical load to the generator.
      6. Mains Restoration: When utility power returns and remains stable for a pre-set duration, the AMF panel detects it.
      7. Load Retransfer: The AMF panel transfers the load back to the mains supply.
      8. Generator Cool-down & Stop: The generator is allowed to run for a cool-down period without load, ensuring engine longevity, before it is safely shut down. The system then returns to standby mode.

      Benefits of Our AMF Panel

      • Uninterrupted Operations: Ensures continuous power for critical systems, preventing downtime, data loss, and operational disruptions.
      • Full Automation: Eliminates the need for manual intervention during power outages, ensuring rapid response even when personnel are not present.
      • Equipment Protection: Safeguards both your sensitive electrical loads and your valuable generator from potential damage due due to power fluctuations or improper shutdown.
      • Enhanced Safety: Prevents hazardous back-feeding of generator power into the utility grid, protecting utility workers.
      • Cost Savings: Reduces losses associated with downtime, lost productivity, spoilage, and potential equipment damage.
      • Peace of Mind: Provides reliability and assurance that your power continuity plan is robust and responsive.
