Auto Main Failure (AMF) Panels

      Description

Automated Power Assurance: High-Performance AMF (Auto Main Failure) Panels

In today's interconnected world, an uninterrupted power supply isn't a luxury – it's a necessity. Power outages can cripple operations, lead to significant financial losses, and compromise safety. Our Auto Main Failure (AMF) Panels are the intelligent heart of your backup power system, ensuring seamless transition to generator power the moment a grid failure occurs, and a smooth return when mains power is restored.

Designed for reliability and efficiency, our AMF panels eliminate the need for manual intervention, providing instant and automatic power backup for critical applications across various sectors.

      What is an AMF Panel?

An Auto Main Failure (AMF) Panel is an electrical control panel that continuously monitors the incoming main power supply. In the event of a power failure, it automatically starts the standby generator, transfers the electrical load from the mains to the generator, and then reverses the process when the main power is restored. This entire sequence is automated, ensuring continuous power without human intervention.

      Key Features & Capabilities

Our AMF Panels are engineered with cutting-edge technology and robust components to deliver unparalleled performance:

      • Automatic Mains Failure Detection: Continuously monitors all phases of the main power supply for under-voltage, over-voltage, frequency variations, and phase loss.
      • Automatic Generator Start/Stop: Initiates a pre-programmed generator start sequence upon mains failure, including crank attempts and warm-up cycles. Automatically signals the generator to stop after mains restoration and a cool-down period.
      • Integrated Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) Control: Seamlessly transfers the electrical load to the generator when it reaches stable parameters and back to the mains once grid power is stable.
      • Comprehensive Generator Monitoring: Real-time display and monitoring of critical generator parameters:
        • Voltage (L-N, L-L)
        • Current (A)
        • Frequency (Hz)
        • Engine Speed (RPM)
        • Oil Pressure
        • Coolant Temperature
        • Fuel Level
        • Battery Voltage
        • Run Hours
        • Number of Starts
      • Advanced Protection Features: Protects both the generator and connected loads from various fault conditions:
        • Overload / Over Current

        • Generator Start Failure
      • User-Friendly Interface: Intuitive HMI (Human Machine Interface) with LCD/LED display for easy operation, status indication, and fault diagnostics.
      • Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) / Microprocessor Based Control: Ensures precise control, flexibility, and reliability.
      • Customizable Timers & Setpoints: Adjustable delays for mains failure, generator start/stop, load transfer, warm-up, and cool-down periods.
      • Event Logging & History: Stores a detailed log of events, alarms, and operational data for troubleshooting and performance analysis.
      • Remote Monitoring & Control (Optional): Integration with SCADA systems or cloud platforms for remote access, notifications (SMS/Email), and control capabilities.
      • Robust & Durable Enclosure: IP-rated enclosures (e.g., IP54, IP65) for protection against dust, moisture, and environmental elements, suitable for indoor and outdoor installations.
      • Test Functionality: Manual and automatic test modes to periodically verify the system's readiness.

      • Enhanced Reliability: Fully automated operation eliminates human error and ensures a consistent response to power events.
      • Increased Safety: Protects sensitive equipment and personnel from power fluctuations and manual handling risks.
      • Cost Savings: Reduces operational costs by eliminating the need for manual generator operation and preventing costly downtime.
      • Optimized Generator Performance: Manages generator start-up, run, and shutdown cycles efficiently, extending its lifespan.
      • Peace of Mind: Provides assurance that your backup power system will activate precisely when needed.
      • Compliance & Standards: Designed and manufactured to meet relevant international and national electrical safety and performance standards (e.g., IEC, IS).

      How It Works (Simplified Sequence)

      1. Mains Failure: The AMF panel detects a loss or deviation in the main power supply.
      2. Delay Timer: A programmable delay timer activates to prevent false starts during momentary power dips.
      3. Generator Start: If the mains failure persists, the AMF panel sends a start command to the standby generator.
      4. Generator Stabilization: The generator starts and runs up to its rated voltage and frequency.
      5. Load Transfer: Once the generator is stable, the AMF panel commands the Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) to switch the load from the defunct mains to the generator.
      6. Mains Restoration: When stable main power is detected again, another delay timer activates.
      7. Load Re-transfer: After the delay, the AMF panel commands the ATS to switch the load back to the main power supply.
      8. Generator Cool-down: The generator continues to run unloaded for a programmable cool-down period.
      9. Generator Shutdown: After cooling, the AMF panel commands the generator to shut down.
      10. System Reset: The panel returns to monitoring mode, ready for the next event.
